Summary: I am asking for help and would appreciate your expertise. I have tried to correct issues unsuccessfully. History: I had downloaded some software to convert auto cad files to PDF. The software was infected.
I attempted to clean the computer which was somewhat successful, but Windows firewall turned off network discovery, file sharing and media server. I turn Windows firewall off and installed Comodo as a temp fix. I found other prescriptive anti-Trojan ware that I have found on Google pointing to Bleeping Computer I was somewhat more successful using some of the utilities like ad aware and combo fix. Removed Comodo and turned Windows firewall back on, but I am still confronted with the inability to turn discovery, file share or media streaming on.
I should have done what I am doing now, ask for help. I will follow directions to the letter and hope for assistance. Thank you, John MacInnis.
